WhatsApp CRM Implementation Checklist

A beta needs a small scope, evidence of what works and a way to recover operations. A successful deployment does not replace testing access, messaging and data separation.

Inventory before connecting

Record businesses, owners, numbers, channels and intended uses. Identify who administers assets and permissions. Collect only necessary data and review consent before importing or contacting people.

Define a status matrix

Use live, pending and experimental states with evidence per feature. Live means expected behavior was tested; pending must not look ready. In PEVENDE, roadmap wording does not guarantee deployed inbox, pipeline or connectors.

Rehearse the pilot

With a bounded authorized group, test sign-in, company separation, contact creation and, if enabled, connector reception and reply. Add negative permission tests. Record outcomes and failures without exposing credentials.

Recovery and review

Define backup, restore testing, incident ownership and suspension criteria. Review pilot results before expanding users. A visible button or health check does not prove recovery or message delivery. At pilot completion, record which controls failed and who will resolve them. Expansion should depend on that evidence rather than only a target date or sales presentation. Keep a rollback decision owner available during the first rollout, with a clear threshold for stopping.

Practical checklist

  1. Inventory data, assets and owners.
  2. Test a small scope with evidence.
  3. Validate recovery before expanding the beta.
